I finished reading-slash-listening to Room to Dream and am now even more deeply in love with the great mind of David Lynch. (David voices half of the audiobook, which is longer and full of more circuitous stories than the written version—quite special!) Things I learned about David from this fantastic, dual memoir/biography: he passed on directing Return of the Jedi; Willem Dafoe almost played Frank Booth in Blue Velvet; and two of David’s canned TV shows are available on the Internet Archive and YouTube (On the Air and the fantastic Hotel Room). For fans, both are worth a watch. RIP, King! Speaking of RIP, the Book Club is dead in the water this month. Perhaps a book about David was too niche. Let me know in the comments? Ah, well, onward.
