Snif’s new Notewrks collection is labeled as music-inspired colognes, but these are concentrated EDPs to my nose. Of the three launch fragrances, my personal favorites are Clean Getaway, which Snif describes as a fresh and crisp, air-in-your-face, breezy scent with notes of clean laundry, rice, and amber wood. It’s a lightly aldehydic, effervescent, slightly-sweet-but-not-cloying, easy daytime fragrancethat I just keep reaching for. My second favorite scent is Sunny is a Feeling, which the brand calls bright, warm, and citrusy. Ironically, I find it less warm and more sweet, perhaps due in part to the tonka bean and amber notes, though there’s something more candied-smelling on display here too. A melange of citruses including mandarin, grapefruit, and bergamot punch forward without being too basic, unlike countless other citrus-forward fragrances. Both have a ton of tenacity and throw, so you’re getting plenty of wear for just $74.
