Lost Highway

I pretended to visit the Criterion Closet during their half-off sale a week or two ago, stocking up on old favorites and some new releases. The underrated, surreal Lynch masterpiece Lost Highway, a Möbius strip of a film with incredible performances and a haunting score. The Terry Gilliam dystopian masterpiece, Brazil. Ken Russell’s trippy Altered States, with some of the best hallucinatory filmmaking ever made. Cloud, the newest feature from Kiyoshi Kurosawa, the director of Cure and Pulse. And an easy add to cart pre-order of Resurrection, the Chinese 3+ hour multi-genre, time-bending haunter I previously raved about here.
